When is optimization ‘good enough’? This webinar will help you apply basic concepts of performance optimization using a range of tools made available in the Comet development environment. After attending this webinar you should be able to demonstrate both conceptual and practical understanding of most optimization and tuning options at your disposal. You will understand concepts such as data locality, memory hierarchy, reproducibility, and you will have a practical understanding of tools such as diff, grep, awk, sed, head, and tail and methods such as loop fusion, splitting, peeling, unrolling, and blocking. Join us for this one hour webinar using the Zoom web conferencing system. Zoom coordinates will be mailed out a few days prior to the event.
