Introduction to Scientific Visualization on Longhorn is a one day in-person training workshop offered by SURA in collaboration with the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). The agenda includes an introduction to scientific visualization, how to remotely access Longhorn, and how to obtain XSEDE allocations. Hands on exercises provide participants the opportunity to prepare data sets to be visualized using ParaView, EnVision, and VisIt. This workshop is open to faculty and students with research in disciplines that have visualization requirements. Online participation not available for this workshop. Travel funds are not provided and travel expenses are the responsibility of participants. All workshop participants should bring their own laptop. Temporary training accounts will be provided for the purpose of participating in the lab sessions.
