Session 4: Computational Thinking: Introduction to Analytics, Modeling, and Simulation is part of the Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC) Data Science Initiative Faculty Training Workshop being held January 9 – 10, 2019. This is an in-person only event for AUCC member institution faculty.

In this tutorial, we cover R for new users and for the more advanced user cover debugging, profiling and performance analysis, optimization, foreign language API’s, and parallel programming with R. There will also be a comprehensive hands-on component to reinforce topics introduced during the lecture portion. While delivered in webinar format, there will be proctors in the room assisting with answering questions. There may be the opportunity for an in-person follow-up workshop this spring.
