This session provides an introduction to using the Illinois Campus Cluster, starting with an overview of some of the accomplishments Illinois researchers have achieved with the cluster, and then covering some of the following topics: information resources supporting the Illinois Campus Cluster; acceptable use of the campus cluster; accessing the campus cluster including how to request access through an investor; cluster architecture overview; how to transfer files using ssh and globus online between your laptop and/or external resources and the campus cluster; batch system and job submission; and getting started migrating your code to the campus cluster. Opportunities to try many of these activities will be provided as part of this hands-on training, as well as opportunities for consultation with staff on future use of the campus cluster.
