On Thursday and Friday, January 19-20, 2012, Cornell Center for Advanced Computing staff will present a training class, Data Analysis on Ranger and Longhorn, at the Ithaca, New York campus of Cornell University.

The course will include lectures, labs, and discussions on:
• Data Formats, Transfer, Movement, and Storage
• Visualization Tools and Techniques for Large Data
• MapReduce with Hadoop
• Data Analysis with MATLAB
• Optimization
• Parallel I/O
