Description: Computational Anatomy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computational_anatomy) is a discipline focused on the quantitative analysis of variability of biological shape. The Large Deformation Diffeomorphic Metric Mapping (LDDMM) software service aims to assign metric distances on the space of anatomical images in Computational Anatomy thereby allowing for the direct comparison and quantization of morphometric changes in shapes. LDDMM ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_deformation_diffeomorphic_metric_mapping) is being utilized in neuroimaging (www.mricloud.org) and cardiovascular imaging communities (http://www.cvrgrid.org/). Current, high resolutions scanners are producing images beyond traditional computational nodes. XSEDE is providing the resources make these computations possible.
